The iQ-BONE PLANAR module offers tools for the analysis and the display of any planar bone studies. It was specially designed for being placed on 3 phase bone studies. This feature, however, does not exclude the user to perform other kind of studies with this tool. It is possible to perform analysis using the semiautomatic ROI function, which is ideal for gaining quantitative regional data and for creating a detailed presentation. Besides the presentation of planar bone series iQ-BONE PLANAR also enables a fully customizable sequence presentation as well as the presentation of whole-body-images.
iQ-BONE PLANAR includes 5 useful tools for post processing images. These are:
Cut out: Enables to cut out “hot” areas of the image, e.g. the bladder and the injection site.
Smoothing: Serves for smoothing the picture by means of a 9-point-smoothing filter.
Median filter: Smoothes the picture preserving the edges, unlike the normal ‘Smoothing’.
Reset: Clears prior proceedings.
Contrast: Opens the color table for image color manipulation.
